Affirmation
of Baptism & Rite of Confirmation, Sunday, May 20, 11:00 AM Worship Service
The Rite of Confirmation will be
celebrated at the 11:00 AM Worship Service on Sunday, May 20. There are 11 students who are preparing to
celebrate their Affirmation of Baptism.
A Confirmation Reception with sandwiches, salads, cake and beverage will
be held in the Fellowship Hall following the Worship Service. The congregation is invited to worship at the
Confirmation Service and to participate in the Confirmation Reception
following!
Sunday, June 3: Graduation Brunch
and Recognition (9:45am-10:45am)
The Graduate Brunch will be held for Graduates and
their families in the Fellowship Hall from 9:45 – 10:45 AM. The Graduate Recognition will take place
during both the 8:30 AM and the 11:00 AM Sunday morning Worship Services. Graduates are invited to wear their
graduation gowns. Please contact Roger for more information regarding the
Brunch or Recognition. Graduation information including awards, school choice,
scholarships and other achievements is needed by May 20!
Saturday, June 23: Hot Rods & Hot Dogs: Classic
Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show (10 AM – 1 PM)
First
Lutheran will again partner with Evergreen Washelli’s Bothell Funeral Home for
this spectacular summer event! Starting
at 10 AM and ending at 1 PM, the event will feature a variety of hot rods,
motorcycles, imports and custom cars!
The Community is invited to support “The End Summer Hunger” Campaign, a
Hopelink lunch program to feed kids. The
Hopelink Truck will be present to receive donations of nonperishable food
and/or monetary gifts. Admission is
free. Please bring a donation of cash or
canned food to help “End Summer Hunger!” A concession stand will feature “Hot
Dogs,” condiments, chips and beverage.

Camp
Lutherwood is the perfect place for your Summer Camp needs!!! Youth programs are available for campers
entering the 1st – 12th Grades. Each week will be filled with adventure,
faith, learning and fun all along the shores of beautiful Lake Samish! Several First Lutheran Youth will be

2012 Summer Mission
Trip, Gathering and Retreat Dates and Information:Junior High School
Mission Trip to Camp Lutherhaven in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho (6/24 – 6/29/12)
Our group will leave for Camp Lutherhaven on the morning of Sunday, June
26th and return to First Lutheran Church in the late afternoon on Friday, June
29th. This event is open to all
students entering the 7th – 9th Grades in the 2012/2013
school year. Please Sign up on the Youth
Board.

2012 VBS & Summer Day Camp Preschool & KindergartenSchedule:
Students meet from 9 AM – Noon, Monday – Thursday (Cost: $25 per child). Grades
1 – 5Schedule: Students meet
from 9 AM – 3 PM, Monday – Thursday (Cost: $35 per student, which includes a
lunch). Lutherhaven Ministries Day Camp Team,
from Coeur d‘Alene, Idaho, will run the program (Bible studies, crafts,
games, songs and worship times) for

School Youth Gathering in New Orleans, Louisiana (7/14 – 7/24/12)
A group of 34 First Lutheran youth and adults will be traveling to New
Orleans on Saturday, July 14th and returning to Seattle on Tuesday,
July 24th. Our group includes
2 youth from the Living Truth Chinese Church and 2 members of Christ the
Servant Lutheran in Bellingham. We will
be joining close to 40,000 other ELCA youth and adults for the “Citizens with
the Saints” Youth Gathering.

the Acolyte Schedule posted on the Youth Board or the volunteer schedule on this website. If you are unable to
acolyte at your assigned time, please find a substitute and/or trade
with someone. This is a very important part of the worship services and
the congregation really appreciates your participation.
Please save and recycle your newspapers in the blue Fibres Recycle Container located in our church
parking lot (by our white church van). Fibres International makes a
quarterly donation to our youth ministry program! Thanks for your
